Seven Day Sweetness.

Is there anything sweeter than a one week old baby? Yes, there are the sleepless nights, the post delivery recovery, the worries about feeding and burping and all the rest, but this is worth it all.

Welcoming Miss G.

I did big sister L’s newborn session years ago, and am now so proud to be able to capture baby sister G’s grand entrance into this beautiful family. It is an honour and a privilege to document a growing family, because you know that these images may be loved now, but will become absolute treasures as the years go by. Thank you to those who continue to let me do what I love so much. :)

P.S. It’s especially fun to work again with this featured momma, Ashleigh Scott, who is a professional model and incredibly talented makeup artist. To check out Ashleigh’s services, head over to www.ashleighscott.ca. She will have you laughing through your perfect makeup.

I will win, baby…I will win.

We took turns walking, rocking, feeding, soothing…and this sweet little dude refused to fall asleep for his session. He would doze and start, doze and start, teasing me and his yawning parents with the promise that he was about to drop off. We got some cute eyes open shots, but we knew if we were patient he would (hopefully) go to sleep. So after an hour or so of more feeding, soothing, rocking, and a heating pad, he did. This is when the magic happens, and photographers can get these little rubber sweeties into the poses we’re hoping for. Don’t challenge me, babies…I’ve got the time and patience, and I will win. ;)

Now Booking Athletes’ Sessions

SportsPromoBlog

After a decade of almost exclusively shooting newborns, children and families, I have decided to offer up a new service to the public – custom athletes’ portraits! With two boys in hockey and baseball over the last six years, I have a lot of the traditional sports portraits of my little rugrats. But on the side, I have been doing private photo sessions of them (and their teammates), and am now offering this option to all families who would like a more custom portrait of their little athlete(s).  Sessions can include just one subject, or multiple from within the same family. The best part is seeing your child’s reaction to their finished portrait. So bring in your little figure skater, hockey player, gymnast, basketball, soccer, baseball or lacrosse player (you get the idea) along with their equipment and let me do the rest. :)

Contact the studio via email at info@shaunareay.com or by phone at 905.431.4580.

Back to the Drawing Board.

Hello! I have recently had to delete the blog I had for 8 years due to hackers posting without permission. I assume people come to my blog to read cool posts and see cool photos, not read about how much Viagra and Cialis can change their lives (not that there’s anything wrong with that). I appreciate your patience while I rebuild a new blog from the ground up. In the meantime, feel free to visit my full website at www.shaunareay.com. Cheers!
